You may want to check your firewall for policies regarding IMAP. Some reference links I read thru though I don't fully understand all of what is being discussed. I have not tried the add-on yet I am going to experiment. I checked on web mail here it is.one account is configured on two computers, one is configured with POP & second is IMAP. Missing mail is showing on POP account Pc but not showing on IMAP pc. If I have the inbox selected and I get new mail, I will not see the new mail appear in the inbox automatically during a scheduled send and receive. I use both webmail and Outlook desktop client to access my Gmail. I am normally looking at the All Mail folder on Outlook. Whenever I drag messages from the All Mail folder to the Trash folder on Outlook, these messages remain visible in the All Mail folder recreate Outlook profile step by step when accessed via webmail.

Maybe some encoding behavior or just a different linefeed or something that has changed over the FixTechGuide fix for stuck folders years... I’ve never heard of setting a path before for email, so apologies if this is a simple solution to those who come across this in the future. If you can, turn off IMAP, require 2FA, and use the native outlook client. Having the same issue with some of our accounts on IMAP as well.

By web app, I mean webmail accessed via Firefox or Chrome for (say) Windows 10, not smartphone app. My comment about 3rd party email -- is a 3rd email app called Email - Edison Mail (from the App Store) I set up my mail accounts in the app and everything works as it should. I’ve tried repairing the data file, removing and re-adding the account, rebooting, re-installing Outlook/Office, running SFC/DISM, all to no avail. Their webmail works fine, and when this account is added to the Windows Mail app, everything works perfectly. One word of warning - you shouldn’t set that interval to more often than maybe every 10 minutes, every 5 would be the absolutel minimum I’d set. If you set too often you run the risk that Outlook could start the next download before finishing the previous download and that could cause duplicate messages and other possible issues.

See the attached picture for the Properties window for a user-created folder. When you right-click one of the folders that doesn't show new mail unless you select it, Properties, is the box 'When getting new messages... It's usually not checked by default for IMAP to minimize network traffic. Subscribing to a folder makes it appear in the Folder Pane, but one might not always want a folder to be synced automatically if it is mainly an archive folder or one that seldom receives new mail. This limits the amount of network traffic and improves performance for syncing important folders. But many users run into the problem where their important reset cached Exchange mode IMAP folders are not syncing or stop updating.

Hence, the trashing of messages is registering on Gmail. It's just that the contents seem completely disconnected from what I see using webmail. All messages that were trashed in Outlook still appear in All Mail when accessed using webmail, even days later. From what I’m reading, this doesn’t actually appear to be an issue with receiving email, it’s an Outlook screen refresh issue, or possibly (although less likely) an issue with notification settings. If you can go to another folder then right back to Inbox and suddenly see 100 new messages, they were there all along, they didn’t just magically appear in that second it took to switch back and forth. Try attacking it from that angle and see what you find.

If I click off of inbox and down to sent item, then click back on inbox, all of the new mail will populate. The problem can be caused by either improper settings or a damaged send/receive group within Outlook. At first, I was thinking it may be an issue with certificates, but it's not... I went to a bunch of online TLS tests and the mail server is fine and the certificates are trusted... So only wait when some "smarties" from apple IT solve problem in app ... Apple programmers use no CD/CI - simple sometimes update by "sales-manager requests", and without any critical-bug-checks ...
Everything works great for the most part, except with our IMAP users. IMAP users are not receiving new email into their inboxes unless they either click off of Inbox and back on, or close outlook and reopen. These are the common reasons why the IMAP folder is not syncing.
