4 のAZ heeft de Johan Cruijff Schaal gewonnen door met 0-4 te winnen van PSV in Eindhoven. PSV moest vanaf de negende minuut met tien man spelen na een rode kaart voor Joey Veerman. Na rust had het vermoeide PSV weinig in te brengen tegen de elf van AZ.
