October, in All Its Stress & Glory

October is my favorite time of year. Here in New England, the leaves are changing color, it’s starting to get cool enough to start thinking about turning up the heat, and weekends are filled with crew regattas, apple picking, leaf peeping, and all the wonderful traditions that make autumn so special. I’m always grateful for the energy of October which I feel encompasses all the beauty, nostalgia, and anticipation of the holidays to come. And then, there’s Halloween and candy; lots of candy.
